01- 川原湯温泉 湯かけ祭り　1月20日

濡れるは必須！迫力満点！！ 奇祭、裸祭りとしても有名な「湯かけ祭り」はふんどし姿の若衆が早朝から湯の掛け合いをして湯の神に感謝するユニークな行事です。
January 20th
Yukake Matsuri－Hot Water Festival（Kawarayu Onsen, Naganohara）
　Getting wet is essential at this festival for you to feel the full impact!! This festival is one of the most famous and unique festivals in Japan. Young men in the loincloths splash hot water on each other in gratitude for the God of Hot Water beginning early in the morning on this day.

02- 伊香保温泉 石段ひな祭り　3月3日

桃の節句を祝う「石段ひな祭り」美しい衣装をまとい、ほんのり薄化粧をして石段街のひな壇にならびます。春の訪れを笑顔で過ごす伊香保の風物詩。

Ishidan Hina Matsuri－Stone　Steps　Girls’　Festival（Ikaho Onsen, Shibukawa）
　This festival celebrates the Girls’ Festival and the Japanese Dolls’ Festival together. A Hina doll is a traditional Japanese doll. The children at this festival wear a beautiful traditional Japanese kimono and put on light make up to look like Hina dolls and appear on the stone steps in Ikaho. We spend time together on this beautiful spring day with a smile thanks to seeing these cute children.

03- 城下町小幡 さくら祭り 4月2日

桜花舞う中、馬上の大将とそれに続く織田隊が出陣し、城下町小幡を勇敢に練り歩きます。歴史に香る街並みと鎧・甲冑に身を固めた戦国武将たちの華やかな絵巻をお楽しみください。

Jokamachi Obata Sakura Matsuri－Cherry Blossom Festival in castle town, Obata（Kanra）
　Under the beautiful cherry blossoms, a General on horseback leads the parade and the Oda Corps follow bravely. You can enjoy looking at the gorgeous picture scrolls of the Japanese Samurai Parade in the historical castle town.

04- 日本のまんなか 渋川へそ祭り　7月21日

「日本のまんなか渋川へそ祭り」は渋川市が日本列島を円で囲った中心にあることで開催。お腹に絵を描いて踊りながらパレードするユニークなお祭りです。「へそ踊りパレード」は、どなたでも飛び入り参加ができます。

Shibukawa Heso Matsuri－Shibukawa Belly Button Festival（Shibukawa）
　Because the city of Shibukawa is in the center of the Japanese archipelago, the citizens in Shibukawa hold this festival. They paint funny faces on their stomach and have a parade with dancing. It is a very unique festival.

05- 灯篭流し　8月上旬

新町の真夏の風物詩として定着した「花火大会・灯籠流し」は、新町の地域振興を図り、祖先の御霊に追悼の誠を捧げることを目的に開催いたします。
見上げる夜空一面に広がる創作花火を、臨場感とともにお楽しみ下さい。

Toro Nagashi Festival－Water Lantern Festival（Shinmachi）
　This festival is the event for sending off the spirits of the dead on lanterns that are floated on the waters of the river. You can also see various kinds of beautiful fireworks in the night sky and participate in the Lantern Festival Dance.

06- 高崎観音 ろうそく祭り　8月第4土曜日

夏の終わりに、高崎白衣大観音の周辺では1万本のろうそくが灯る「万灯会」が行われます。ゆらめく灯に願い事や平和を願う気持ちを込めて、お祈りに訪れてみませんか。

07- みのわの里 狐の嫁入り　10月上旬

婚礼の儀式をきつねの世界の嫁入りに見立て地域に伝わるご祝儀のしきたりや風情を日本の着物文化を取り入れて再現。きつねの化粧を施し「きつねの嫁入り行列」や婚礼の儀式を取り入れた創作野外劇をします。

Kitsune no Yomeiri－Fox Wedding Festival（Misato）
　People put on makeup for this festival to look like foxes and wear a traditional Japanese kimono to celebrate weddings and march. Also they perform an original play outdoors.

08- 箕輪城祭り　10月最終日曜日

日本１００名城の一つ箕輪城がメイン会場の祭り。手作りの甲冑を身につけた鎧武者が箕輪城へ向けて街を練り歩く甲冑行列や、敵・味方に分かれて武士達が争う箕輪城攻防戦など、戦国絵巻ながらの光景が繰り広げられます。
The last Sunday in October（Misato）
　This festival is held at Minowa Castle, which is one of the greatest of the 100 castles in Japan. You can enjoy seeing samurais wearing armor and marching to Minowa Castle through the town and taking different sides to fight each other at the Castle. It is a very interesting spectacle!
